Father of all Life, thank You that You desire to meet my daily needs, to prove Yourself faithful in providing for me and sustaining my precious life. You are the only God who takes care of my every need in every area in every way. My physical needs are fulfilled by You – You provide for me food and drink, You created the very air I breathe and the blood that pumps life through my veins. My emotional needs are fulfilled by You – You provide satisfying, deep and accepting intimacy with Yourself by Your Spirit and with the people You have surrounded me with. My social needs are fulfilled by You – You have provided an organic and relational international family of affection, the church, that will embrace me and that will be a support net that surrounds me, protects me and takes me in no matter where on the earth I may go. My spiritual needs are fulfilled by You – You have provided for me a never-ending ocean of revelation and spiritual experience to dive headlong into through Your Spirit. Thank You that You promise to take care of me, Your precious child, of my every need, that You already know what it is that I need before I am even aware of it. You promise to take care of Your children, although I admit to You, my idea of care is more Western and comfort-driven in origin than it is Biblically and eternally minded, and thereby it often differs from Yours. But You would not have taught me to pray “give us today our daily bread” if It was not Your intention to GIVE me what I need daily. I refuse to believe any thoughts that would accuse You of being otherwise, that You are not intimately involved and passionate about the daily, mundane and common affairs of my life. I praise You for the work You have done on the Cross to secure my daily bread, I now contend and ask for my daily bread, a breakthrough for TODAY in my heart, in my mind, in my emotions and in my spirit, in Your holy name, Jesus, AMEN
Matthew 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread
Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
Nehemiah 9:21 Forty years You sustained them in the wilderness; They lacked nothing; Their clothes did not wear out And their feet did not swell.
Deuteronomy 29:5 And I have led you forty years in the wilderness. Your clothes have not worn out on you, and your sandals have not worn out on your feet.
Psalm 132:15 I will abundantly bless her provision;I will satisfy her poor with bread.
Psalm 145:16 You open Your handAnd satisfy the desire of every living thing.
Isaiah 58:11 The LORD will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
2 Corinthians 9:10 Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness
