Creator God, Source of eternal life, You alone sustain me, preserving me throughout the night and giving me breath throughout the day. It is in you that I live and move and have have my being. Jesus, You said it Yourself, You are the Way, the Truth and the Life. When I was so lost, You showed me the way because You are the Way. When I was lied to, You told me the truth because You are the Truth. When I was dead, You gave me life because You are the Life. True life, eternal life is this, that I would know You, the One True God, and Jesus Christ whom You sent. Everything else is a lie, a usurper, a temporary substitute for the real thing that can only be found in You. More than I need blood in my veins, a heart that beats, a brain that thinks, and air in my lungs, I need You in my soul for You are the eternal substance which I will partake of forever and forever. You gave up Your life that I may have life with You eternally. It has always been Your intention to give us food from the Tree of Life, that we may enjoy You forever. It is Your Spirit that gives me life – not laws, rules and regulations in living. It is living according to the freedom of Your Spirit that sets me free to experience the joys, pleasures and powers of the age to come in this age, even today. Come to me, Lord Jesus, feed me of Your well-spring of eternal life today. I love the life You give. Help me to live it in a way that pleases You today, I ask, in Jesus’ name AMEN
