My eyes are aimed at the horizon, that which lies ahead of me, to the future of my life. And there I see You, my Father, forming and fashioning a glorious future for me. You know what burns in my heart, You know what things excite me and what things shut me down. You have made me intricately unique amongst all Your creation and You have something just for me, laying ahead of me. My future is good because my future is more of You. My future is exciting because my future is contained in You. You are the Eternal Always, the ever-present-tense God, and yet You are the One outside of time and You are going before me, You are making a way for me and establishing things for me that I could never have established in my own strength. This is more than pie-in-the-sky positive thinking. Not everyone has a hope-filled future because not everyone will choose to live for You and receive Your Son. But for me, I have a wonderful inheritance in the future You have for me. Open my eyes to see exactly what I have in You, my God, my King, my Future, in Jesus’ name AMEN
