Great and Mighty One, You have forever been complete and perfect in Your own nature, needing and lacking nothing. Yet out of that mysterious place of zeal and desire to share Your nature with human beings, You chose me long long ago to be included in the place of Your perfect communion. Though You are great and mighty, You chose to come in weakness, humility and servitude to extend Your hand toward me in love so that I could be with You where You were. You have loved me before I even took my first breath. You have desired me from before the foundations of the earth. The only reason I can love You is because You loved me first. From the beginning You have been looking for a people who would “love the LORD your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength” because that is exactly what You have done for us. You have never once asked me to do anything that You haven’t already done for me. You chose to “regard others as better than yourself”. Strengthen me to do the same, Abba. Reveal even more the great depths of your love for me as Your son and for others as Your children, in Jesus’ name AMEN
