Mystery of mysteries, I would have no idea who You really were if it were not for You choosing to reveal Yourself to me. The only reason I know anything about You at all is because You have given me Your Word and You have given me Your Son and You have given me Your Holy Spirit. Millions long to serve a god of their own making. They don’t want to know You are You really are. Help me not to serve a god of my own imagination or fantasy. Help me to know You as You have revealed Yourself to be. Everything hinges on a true knowing, an actual relationship with You are You are in truth. Take me from where I am and bring me to where I need to go but where I cannot go myself. Reveal to me Your Son, Christ Jesus, the Lamb of all the world, slain for my own offenses toward You. You are also the revealer of my own heart. You see through all the externals that I put on, You know what I am really like in the depths of my heart. Everything in my is seen by You, naked and exposed before You. I cannot manipulate You in any way, shape or form. I pray that you would shock me regarding the depths of my depravity NOW before I stand before You so that I won’t be shocked THEN, when my whole deck of cards comes crumbling down, in Jesus’ name I pray AMEN
