The storms and winds of life are always pressing against the way of Life, against living in the Spirit. I want my sail to pick up the winds of the Holy Spirit, not the unpredictable gusts of lusts and carnal desires. When they do come, be my Anchor that I would remain unmoved and stable in the onslaught and warfare. So many things want to blow me off course and I need to be rooted and grounded, anchored in Your love that I could remain on the narrow and difficult path that leads to life. When adversities are against me, You keep me from being blown all about and stabilize my heart. But You also keep me grounded, You keep me from floating away when things are going alright and my head wants to fill up with hot air and float away. You remain unmoved, solid and firm when my heart wavers and falters. You hold me in Your hand and nothing in heaven or in earth could ever pluck me out. I center myself in You, I anchor my soul in You and ask You to come to me in such a way that produces steadfastness in my heart, in Jesus’ name AMEN
