Proverbs 12:25, Song of Solomon 5:2
Why do I lay awake on my bed,
tired outside but burning within,
staring at the vast depths of my ceiling,
pondering what will draw me out in the morning?
Why a halting heart at every thump in the night,
amplified by unceasing nervous energy
undispelled by restless nights and days overactive?
Why a mind that wanders to things of time expired, and to come,
to loved ones, ones unreconciled, to myself?
I wonder why I even set myself
in direction toward my classes everyday?
I ask myself, “Why do I wait wide awake?
Why does my heart not settle down within me?”
Could it be, could it just be,
Someone wants to get my attention?
Could it be because I have forgotten how to cry out,
Or maybe too prideful to ask for help?
Could it be that I have nothing but sand
To set my feet upon while time is running out?

Song of Solomon 4:7, 6:4-5
I AM the Creator of time,
I can wait, can you?
I AM Love never ceasing,
The All-consuming Fire.
Zeal for you has consumed Me.
Nothing will hinder my love
From being received,
Even if, one by one,
Your fingers must be pried
Off your “American Idol.”
The weapon of perfect love
Casts out every fear.
My desire is for you,
Experience My love,
Walk in its confidence unwavering,
Share it with the lost.
You are My beloved Bride,
I love you as you are.
All I seek is a response,
For someone to simply accept My love
That is better than all other pleasures on earth.
