Fleeting apparition,
you appear
behind a fortress of glass
honoring a moment
to glance inside your openness.
Your passing awakens senses.
You hang mid-air – floating
Approaching
yet keeping distance.
Pulled off shore
over the edge of safety,
my self is left behind
and fascination soars
in the hidden hues of your mystery.
Risk, fear, vulnerability
to explore, to discover
your depths;
yet as expert prey
you choose romance
keeping your distance
from the predator you love.
